VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

 

PontiacVotes! works to increase the voter turnout in the City of Pontiac, Michigan through increased utilization of the Permanent Absentee Voter Registry and education about Early Voting opportunities.​

During 2025, we went door-to-door assisting voters to sign up for the Permanent Absentee Voter Registry.  Once signed up, voters will receive their ballots automatically for every election.  Eligible citizens who are not registered to vote were given an opportunity to register.  

55% of Pontiac voters stayed home for the 2024 election versus 27% in the rest of Oakland County.  Pontiac voices need to be heard in government.

Democracy only works when we vote.  All eligible citizens we encountered were given the same opportunity regardless of their political views.

We have no more canvas dates scheduled for 2025.  We are considering going to the Pontiac Library during early voting to sign up people to get on the Permanent Absentee Voter list.  If you are interested in helping, send an email to allenwolf@yahoo.com.
